Biography

I was born in Adana in 1969. After I went to Adana Vocational High School, I studied English at Çukurova University, Faculty of Education, English Language Department until I finished it in 1989. In the following three years, upon completion of military service which is a must in Turkey I worked in Trabzon Anadolu High School and Çukurova University Foreign Language Center as an English language teacher.

Luckily, having friends who were already in travel business made me consider tourism as a new profession wide-opening a huge gate through which I could make a living as well as enjoy doing something for not only myself but also the country. Therefore I was able to attend the courses to become a tour guide established by the Ministry of Tourism in 1991. Consequently I got my tour guide license in 1992.

Ever since I became an official tour guide, I have taken thousands of travellers around various places from Istanbul to Cappodocia, Antalya, Ephesus, etc. The tours I have led privately in a car or on a tour bus dealt with not only history, archeaology, geography of the places visited but also discovering the turkish way of life in the city or the countryside by making stops at every possible place to interact with Turkish people.
